Is the chi or solia hair straightener better?

I have been using a CHI for years and I won't use anything else because nothing has worked better. I have super tight curls and it straightens then perfectly and leaves my hair feeling soft also. I would suggest the CHI and nothing other than the CHI! Love it and can't live without it!     Add to My Contacts Block User Best Answer - Chosen by Asker Yes, it DEFINITELY is! It goes through your hair quicker than any other straightener, and it makes your hair look glossy, and very pretty!You can also curl your hair with this, and that’s why I like it!
    I would recommend going to a discount store, and never pay full price, because most of the CHIs are in the hundred dollar amount. I got mine for discount from TJ Maxx for less than $100.

      Add to My Contacts Block User Best Answer - Chosen by Asker My daughter wanted one so badly and was convinced it was better than the conair one we bought her. She and my sister like the chi because their hair is VERY thick and curly and needs the high heat. But when I used it, it burned my hair because my hair is more fine and not as thick, and is pretty straight to begin with. I have to use one with a heat control. To me, the chi is only worth it if you have extreme hair, such as very thick or curly. Most of my smoothing action comes from the shampoo, conditioner, and product I use. And, FYI, mom and dad can get a better deal if they buy it online. If you pay over 100 you have paid way too much.

    Is the Chi hair straightener good or bad?
    I want to buy the Chi hair straightener but I keep reading bad and good reviews about it. Does it really catch on fire, and completely breaks down after a couple of months or does it last for a long time and works very well.

I know they have been on sale there before (the metal ones were on special for $30 a couple of weeks ago), and they often have coupons for $3 or $5 off in the newspaper and online. All of my friends have them, and they can straighten my hair so fast. (I have super curly, frizzy hair!) The reason is because it gets incredibly hot, so you don't have to use as much pressure when pulling. This is better for your hair because you aren't breaking it off. I personally have an infre-red ceramic plated straighener, that was quite a price. It recently broke…but for about two years it was really really good. Just as good as the chi. The chi is just a bettter investment. Hope this helps!edit: two of my friends have had their chi for over 4 years. it DOES last. I have had my for 2 years, and never had a problem…and I drop it all the time. What’s nice about the CHI is that is can keep even the most stubborn of hair straight all day. If it does break, you can send it back in to the manufacturer and they will fix it or replace it for only $15 (as long as you keep the box). The second best CHI model is the Wet to Dry one. Your hair dries instantly! The original CHI runs about $149 and the Wet to Dry is about $199. The best sales on the CHI are at JcPenney, in fact on December 9th they go on sale for 20% off, and I can email you a coupon for an additional 20% off of anything in the salon.

      Is my CHI hair straightener authentic?
      My hasband bought me a Chi from Target for $130. I read somewhere that the real Chi has a 3 prong plug, but mine only has the regular 2. It also has GLOBAL BEAUTY NETWORK, INC. writting on the top. How can I tell if it is real?
